As I float, waves push beneath me. Each temporary, guided towards the shore, just to come back for more.
Stare into the sky, watch the clouds go by, mind is high. The air, keeping me in a daydream; the water, massaging my body.
The thought of water shifts my attention, drawn to what’s beneath me. What am I floating above? As each wave pushes me, fear starts to arise. The sky cannot lift me, not able to mesmerize.
See the fish jump, hear the birds' warning. Into the shore I want to swim, but calmly chances are slim.
Awareness hits me, I created this fear. I filled my mind with this illusion. Before it consumes me, I must reverse this delusion.
Taking a deep breath, giving my mind back to the sky. Continuing to float and not allow my worries to control my peace.
How often does fear take control of our thoughts? Why is it so hard to let go of an illusion once brought into our minds?
We are only afraid when we choose to be afraid. Acknowledge fear, understand fear. Admit the feeling and we gain control ... if we want to.
Is it the spider that we fear, or is it screaming that creates fear? Are we afraid of heights, or is it falling ... why are we afraid if we have not yet fallen?

The entity is not drawing us fear; it is the rush, the reaction, the illusion, our own creation.
With impulsive thoughts and behavior, our reactions control each circumstance. Why fear when nothing has happened ... replace with admiration, take control.
An astronaut shoots off into space. The shuttle stretches past Earth’s atmosphere, a ticking sound begins. Days later, the ticking goes on, driving his mind crazy. The sound will last for months. What is he left to do ... but to fall in love with it.
Some make a purpose to look for fears to overcome. For some, fear is just a shiver brushed away. The fearless, fall in love with their fears.
