Encounters with neighbors on our daily walk ... these are my kind of people, this is my kind of small talk.
A man waiting for the bus, he says ‘I hope your day is blessed’. A woman on strolls to the lake, with advice that keeps my mind awake. A boy rides by on his bike, he yells 'these are the days I like'.
Many people are in my life because I take care of you. My favorite person could be human, but you watered my heart for which it grew.
Encouraged me too ... to keep a smile, skip when tired to walk, laugh when about to cry, take a break if trotting gets slow, when pushing through messes with our flow.
I’m thankful for an adventure buddy, for where I’ve been with you.
I’m thankful for who I am, after all the smiling you’ve put me through.
A cluster of people, immediately connected when space is shared.
Walks with our dog, parks with our children, vacation with a significant other ... the people we pass along the way should be our favorite people.

We welcome every person, every moment. If we hoped for it, or against it, or were simply afraid of it ... our subconscious feelings about thoughts create action, to help us grow.
The day gifts itself to us ... we present our availability, we welcome what steps in our path.
Do we greet our neighbors, or walk by without acknowledging them? Do we greet our own conscious, or brush the day away without its acknowledgements?
When finding a seat for lunch, an available seat isn’t necessarily the right one. Give awareness to where we spend this time of peace ... choose not because of everyone else, choose because it’s the moment we want.
In conscious selection, we find peace. Awareness in selection is how we keep the right things presenting itself to us. To recognize old habits, make moves for ourselves, and be thankful.
