A powerful structure, this living system. A tree stood significant, irresistible. Its twisted appearance made so visible.
Others stand so poised ... but this one is no weaker.
Every tree with a story, curious what this one pushed through. Captivated by its strength, I take a moment to admire.
Through the weather this tree did survive; embracing its identity it does not hide.
Just as this tree, the weather created my character. I should not deny or repress my experiences ... I should admire my stability.
By giving darkness a positive light, my strength to elevate has gifted me treasured insight.
It is refreshing to admit life isn't perfect; others will observe and admire. But no better feeling than having self-admiration.
When handed a reality out of our control, we feel no fault, held with no responsibility. We roll with the history that was given, no question, no reflection.
But what if we grasp control of the uncontrolled?
When we face the unexpected, we channel fight or flight. Many of us are guilty of flying, to avoid the turnaround.

But a bird only flies to avoid the seasons. . .What if the bird fought through the cold? Over time, wouldn't evolution make it stronger; wouldn't it gain the ability to withstand the cold?
Avoiding circumstances creates fear, leaving us with questions. Fighting takes courage, revealing answers never asked.
Looking at a tree, we see stability. But underground, roots always fighting for nourishment, keeping its appearance supreme.
Similarly, our surface will never be optimal if experiences are not nourished with proper attention. We can withstand the weather if our grounding remains strong.
If we trust ourselves, flight is not an option. If we appreciate our roots, we can nourish them faithfully; and growth is all we live for, fighting is all we desire.
